Our feet were ice blocks by the time we got back onto dry ground...
Biking paths near Snow Canyon the next morning with Cam was awesome (and hilly). Fun on the way down. Not so much on the way back up....
A couple days later Rob, MK, Mia, and Getty drove down. Cy was in Idaho staying with Lloyer and Duch for Paul's 2-day basketball training.
On two different days various combinations of us watched "The Martian," "Bridge of Spies," and "Hotel Transylvania II." Getty and Jackson went for the Spooky Corn Maze with girls.
At "Bridge of Spies" an older, well-groomed and heavily-perfumed lady took her seat on the other side of Rob. And I could barely breathe.
Who gets asthma from a SCENT?
I do, apparently. (In my defense, it was an uber scent :) And no, I didn't have the presence of mind to change seats because "Bridge of Spies" was SO GOOD!
My dang asthma has been so bad the last month or two that I even asked to sleep in the garage a couple of nights much to Cassie's chagrin, because they've had a pet bunny in the house for several months, "We've never had a guest sleep in our garage before!!"
Saturday, we and the Wads hiked the Red Mountain/Snow canyon lookout and enjoyed panic attacks watching the kids crawl near the edge of those cliffs to Instagram.
We packed up to leave Sunday morning but hadn't done our traditional Crevice hike. That, combined with the fact that I didn't think we should stop at the hot pots on a Sunday, threw Cam into a fit. And by fit, I mean the corners of his mouth turned down as he looked quietly at the ground.
So, we took a Sunday stroll in the Crevice :)
He told me I was to be his "sidekick," so I followed him through the Crevice and up and down the rocks until it started to drizzle. We barely made it back to the car before the downpour.
We sang a few hymns and primary songs and listened to a couple chapters of Alma (which is why the older kids didn't want to ride with me ;) and then Cam sprawled out in the nearly empty car and fell asleep.
I'm sure in Rob's car, he played some Country, which he says is all about God and family (and, I say, beer...).
