Rob's Mission Impossible

Rob cooked up a little object lesson for Family Night that involved a week of taking photos of things the kids left out. Phase 2 involved printing said photos and distributing them all over the kitchen/great room.

Meanwhile, the kids were having fun on the tramp

Phase 3 was seeing the astonishment in the kids' faces as they realized in such a new and graphic way just how much stuff they leave around the house...

... except the kids weren't astonished.

And exactly how effective was this Family Night object lesson?

It's been almost a week since, and I'd have to say... not so much.

I would say worse than before, but how could that be??

Mission complete, but not accomplished.
Signing out.

Mia had told me, "We have to win. We crashed the Juniors practice last night with eggs and shaving cream and silly string and were all making food bets for In-N-Out Burger and Buffalo Wild Wings. Totally yelling, 'You better watch out tomorrow night—we're coming after you!!' How embarrassing if we lose now, ha!...."

Sam was pumped about one of Mia's sacks.

after her TD!

Grandpa

Grandpa moved in with us for a little bit.

A few highlights:

He schooled the kids (and his kid) in ping pong (he is the original family grandmaster).

Megan and I took him biking, but left him in the dust as promised. He assured us he needed time to think ;)
.
He slept on the floor of his bedroom half the time, because MK's mattress was too soft.

Rob and I grilled him after he went on two DATES...

He heard me yell back at Mia at the top of my lungs from the upstairs laundry room, "I DID enter the password for the computer!! And THANKS FOR ASKING SO NICELY!! [can you hear the sarcasm?—she sure could]

This is dinner at a new pizza restaurant on the way to his new place the day he moved out.
Mia, ha!

Cam's hair is awesome

Grandpa! Rob!

Shortly after he moved out, Grandpa left for England to visit for a couple weeks. Rob checked in with him, and this is how that went down...
