Uncle Mike (with Brixton and Remy) still living in a hospital facility months after his surgery and life-threatening flesh eating virus. He's lost 70 pounds!

Halloween Evening spent at Mia's residential recovery house. Rob, Cy, Cam, and I walked in late, the only ones wearing costumes... in the middle of someone's emotional sharing....

A peek into MK's professional life...

In other news: 

1. Renters hadn't paid for 2 months (i.e. Getty and Lexi) 

2. Both refrigerators, both dishwashers, and a/c all in turn needed fixing

3. Basement apartment needed a total housecleaning and carpet cleaning for new tenants 

4. And after a routine oil change, MK's car engine seized, leaving it a total loss 😳

Oveth decided to surprise MK with a night on a rooftop with a fireplace, surrounded by family.

Turned out, Jiffy Lube paid top dollar to replace her car 🙌🙌

MK ran her first "professional" half-marathon, a particularly difficult, hilly race in Palos Verdes, CA. Not only did she take 3rd place, but she also won the fastest time for the hill climb challenge at mile 10.5 and was awarded $500 🏆

In Cali, Mom drove by one of the houses she grew up in in San Diego and snapped these pics...

This is Grandma McMillan when she was naturalized as a U.S. citizen with my granddad and my mom in 1962. 

We found out the end of August that Nate's partner of 11 years, Morgan, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. It is 90% fatal within 6 months. Nate said she sleeps a lot, and when she's awake, she's in a lot of pain. We're all praying for her.
