With friends like these, who needs enemies?

(All Five got the same treatment.
MK was the 5th.)

See that goop on the step? A puddle of honey to step in, along with a sticky door handle. Also, lots of ketchup, mustard, syrup, pickles, and salad dressing...

I heard a car pull away about 1:45 a.m. and awhile later, I heard McKenzie on her deck and in her bathroom. I figured she must've snuck out and was sneaking back in (she'd never done that before, but there's a first time for everything, right?). I flipped on her light and said, "You're busted, Missy." She was actually taking turns throwing up into the toilet or out the door to the deck (whichever was closest) all last night. And to top it all off, she was supposed to speak in church today, which she cowboy'd up and did. She spoke on gratitude and challenged everyone to think of 3 things they are grateful for each day for 3 weeks to form a habit. I'm grateful for: McKenzie, McKenzie, and McKenzie.

Cy Turns 9!

(uh... a month ago!)
Cy insisted that he needed a headband for "all his headers" in games ;) So, Mia tie-dyed this headband to match his shocking pink soccer uniform.

Header poses.

And his favorite gift is something I do not even understand (but Rob does), Microsoft points.
9 Things I Love About Cy
1. Persistent (as all get-out).
2. Passionate about sports.
3. Dotes on Elle and treats Cam like his best friend.
4. Responsible student.
5. Loves to be a part of your personal space.
6. Will tell you everything you want to know about school, friends, sports, his life.
7. Says thoughtful prayers.
8. Is almost always in a good mood.
9. Is cool enough that Getty's friends want to hang out with him even when Getty's not around. (Don't tell Getty.)

Love you, Bud!

"a bit miffed"

This pic and article covering the Riverton v. Lone Peak soccer game was published in the Salt Lake Tribune. Riverton won 2 to 1. Here's the kicker:

"...The Knights were also a bit miffed that they didn’t get a penalty kick opportunity earlier in the game when McKenzie Evans appeared to be dragged down in the box. A line judge called for a kick, but the main referee overruled him and the game went on. The officials were arguing among themselves about the call after the game...."

MK was in the penalty box heading straight for the goal with no one but the goalie in front of her. Let's take another look at that pic.
There we go.
(I'd be happier if the overruling ref's mug shot were in the paper :)

Favorite Shots from MK's High School Pre-season and Season Opener

MK's game face. (Ha!)

This is how MK runs like a girl.
Maris telling MK, "I LOVE you!" after MK scored.

MK contemplating the direct kick headed straight for her and Kaitlyn.
Triple-teamed.
Again, you can barely see her for the forest of green surrounding her.

Above, she's totally hidden in a cloud of white (that's Kait in there with her).
And below, she's tripping over the keeper. Give my baby some breathing room! haha

Half a second before a full split here.

 ...and here

And she's down...
And up...
And back down...

She's back to her old tricks again...

Rob taught her the proper technique for launching it right out of the handspring (because he was a gymnast in his own day [?]). It worked. I guess, he just has that spot-on coaching instinct. See that ball fly?

Love soccer.
 Love this team.

Pink?

You gotta be tough to pull off pink.
Scary, eh?

The fans. Elle's naturally quite a big fan of pink.

5 Minutes til Vomitous Mass

You wouldn't think anything remarkable about this photo (except for the remarkably beautiful baby girl), but I took this because I never see her, head down, resting on the counter like this.

And five minutes later I found out why.

1st Day of School, 2011

MK the Senior. Judging from her expression, this photo-on-the-first-day-of-school routine is getting old. haha
Wearing a dress for Game Day.

 Mia the Frosh.
Digging the photo-on-the-first-day-of-school routine :)
Getty the 6th grader.
He could NOT be happier with Mrs. D. thankyouthankyou thankyouthankyou... (And she was over the top that he was Mia's brother. Getty was so proud.)

That's the tv remote in his hand. I pried him away from our "Good Luck Charlie" fix while we wait for carpool.
The red bandage covers his wart farm removal, phase 3.
Cy as 3rd grader. Mr. P—also a winner.
I coached Cy to laugh for this photo for a more natural smile. This is him thinking of what's so funny...
This is Cy's face when it comes to him.
