I asked Cam to show me some of his current favorite drawrings (said with a drawl) for your viewing pleasure...

He's so good! About a month ago, I begged him to please teach me to sketch. He told me to choose a face I didn't know because the sketch is bound to look different from the face you know so well, and then you pick your drawing apart. So, I chose someone who reminds me of Elle. Cam sat next to me and gave me step-by-step instructions while sketching her, too... 

Cam didn't finish his sketch, but you can tell how skilled he is! Meanwhile I had to erase whole sections of her face a few times....

More than ever I can appreciate what a natural he is...

He has such a natural and effortless artistry. I am so particular about getting every line correct that it interferes with how genuine it looks, but I like how it turned out! 

Then I commissioned him to replicate a painting in a digital medium and had Rob print and frame it for my kitchen...

I saw a family picture he stylized and asked Rob to print that one for over the mantle. 

I've got resources, man 😉

Elle's Would-be 12th Birthday

Rob and I took the boys to the temple and out to lunch on Elle's birthday, figuring Elle would appreciate the help on this side of the veil 😉

My best friend from high school, Tracey, was in town, so we met up and she happened to be wearing PINK!!

Getty!! met us at Labryinth for pre-opening night

And then... 

In the recovery room, and still under some anesthesia, Getty started raging and had to be restrained. He's always bringing the excitement.

With his arm in pain and not being able to skate or snowboard, Getty took a turn for the worse and landed in jail on Christmas. Worst Christmas holidays ever. But I digress....

He decided he needed a haircut for court, and I decided he needed some new pants...

He wore these👆 about every day for... weeks?... months? The rip is actually even worse than it looks since he wears his pants a little low and has lost weight.

We don't get to see much of Getty these days. We miss his big presence and his fun, outrageous, big-hearted personality.

We got to go to the front of every line and could go twice in a row on all the rides. Mahdi's leg prevented roller coasters, so we stuck to Tidal Wave, the Centennial Swings, the Screamer, Paratroopers, the Scrambler, Bumper cars, the Terror Ride, and the Sky Ride
