Pioneer Trek: the Agony and the Ecstasy

Mia saves her drama for her mama. Her first words upon returning from Trek: "I can't believe I'm alive."

Reason #1: "I didn't eat. Like nothing at all. I was so full from drinking so much water."

Reason #2: "I got smashed between two handcarts and almost died."

The forecast for Trek was rain all week, but it only sprinkled once after dinner for a few minutes, the perfect refresher for hot and sweaty bodies. Within the hour our Stake boarded buses and left the trail for home, the skies opened up and began a downpour with 30 mph winds :)
