Biking Adventures

Suddenly I find myself with only one easy toddler at home while Cam's in kindergarten. The possibilities! One of the first things on my agenda was figuring a way to exercise outdoors in the beautiful fall weather. Getty hooked up the carriage to my bike a few weeks ago, so Cam and I could ride bikes to school with Elle in tow.
From there, Elle and I ride all over our little city for as long as we want. This is what we saw on our ride today [these photos aren't mine, but I tried to find images close to what we really saw]:

Two camels (?!)...

Two of these full-sized manicured poodles wandering around their owner's front yard...

Several apple orchards and lots of apples lying on the ground by the sidewalk, one of which Elle had to polish and put into her carriage...

A pumpkin patch...

A million gorgeous autumn leaves...

A deer with huge antlers, just standing there a few yards away allowing Elle and I to take him in. He was right by Granny's lot, where she will soon build her home for Elle and I to stop in for a cookies & milk break (mid-workout—see how this works out so nicely? :)...

Lots of horses...

A bull...
A life-size teepee behind city hall...

A bridge on our path over a creek...

Several llamas...

Plenty of porches decked out with jack o' lanterns, skeletons, and other fun creepsters...

A restored orange VW bus parked in the breezeway of a McMansion...

A little pony we named Peanut...

An old cemetery...

A historical park with pioneer day farm machinery...

And along the way, Elle would sing to me one of two songs—either, "I Love to See the Temple" or "Celebration" by Kool & the Gang.
(I'm not going to let her leave me and go to school...ever.)

What an eclectic and magical neighborhood! What a great mom you are to take Elle on this great adventure!
