Christmas Day, 2013

The loot...

Sibling gifts. Cy's gift to Cam—a silly straw.

I love this pic—ha!

Getty's gift for Cy

 The half-hug

Cam's gift to Getty—a pack of thermal socks
for snowboarding this winter

MK's gift to Mia. Note the mischievous look on MK's face.
Dad does not approve of hip hop music. Not one bit.

"Ya, we'll be taking that back..."

 Mia's gift to MK

Uh oh

Durrr

Taking pleasure in their rebellion

Cy is all about the clothes. He's 11.

A Hex bug cage for Cam (... and zippidy doo da, Mia!)

A rain jacket for Hawaii's rainy season

A checking account and debit card for Mia.
"Oh my gosh... I'm such the adult!"

Costco membership for MK

Our first Christmas without Grandma—Christmas brunch and
cousin's gift exchange at Grandpa's house.

Mia's holding the legendary Invisible Alien Neutralizer. It's been something of a myth in the Evans' household ever since it mysteriously disappeared after only a few blissful hours playing it on a Christmas Day in 1985(?). Not a trace of it until 28 years later when Uncle Mark finally brought the Evans' men long-awaited closure.

Angry Bird remote-controlled blimp going in for a kiss from MK

Grandpa's very generous

Then Granny's house for Christmas dinner and even more gifts.
All but the four Vietti cousins here (oh! and Mia).

Christmas Eve, 2013

It was about 7 p.m., and Cam was done waiting around for the fun to start and said,
"This is the worst Christmas Eve ever."

The kids got all shocked and started interrogating him, so he burst into tears.
Remember last Christmas Eve? Here we go again...

MK thought the drama was all too funny

... and rocked him like a baby doll

Mia loves drama (that goes without saying)

The boys stayed out of it (after causing the problem in the first place
—their work was done)

Cam fled to his bedroom upstairs as Rob called after him.

While we waited for Cam to chill out, Cy warmed up
for his part of the family talent show.

We opened up Christmas jammies and got on with the show.

Getty did some magic tricks...

Cam showcased his artwork

(Getty requested "funny footsie pj's," so I got hot pink "Monster High" ones in the girls' section and he added a big pillow to round things out)

Cam played some Christmas songs for us
on our "baby grand"—you like?

Getty showed us the zombie action film
he and his friends are filming

These three did a jing-a-long to Chuck Berry's "Run Run Rudolph"

and spotlighted Cy's multi-talented booty

Then we settled in with some popcorn, Christmas treats, and Rob's favorite Christmas movie, "A Christmas Story"

Stockton barricaded the stairs for Christmas morning

and left Cam this note:

See you in the morning!
