Family birthday party this year for Cam. Cy, MK, and Trent took him paddleboarding at the pond while I stayed home and watched Lucy girl.
A few July highlights:
He designed his own t-shirt (the lemon is some kind-of inside joke with his friends)
We would lay out on the high deck when the mood hit
We biked to see the new movie "Aladdin" 👍👍 and back
He played in St George with his best friends
And played in Park City with more
friends over Labor Day weekend
Fourteen Facts about our Cam
1. Stands, walks, and sits on the kitchen counter frequently
2. Paints, crafts, draws, computer-illustrates, clay models. Begs me to go out of town for 5 days so he can spray paint the "stadium" in our basement without triggering my asthma with the fumes.
3. Keeps a daily whiteboard of Goals, Events, 2 Do, Get Done, and a homework list
4. Organizes night games and Fugitive for his friends two or three times a week in the summer
5. Stands up for himself but keeps his emotions in check
6. Won't be coddled—you can't "spot" him points
7. Skateboards, hikes, bikes, paddleboards, wake surfs
8. Loves being on student council so he can be in the thick of all the assemblies, activities, and morning announcements
9. Requires a triple-soother machine with trickling water sounds, ceiling star lights, and aromatherapy to fall asleep
10. Loves little kids and dogs
11. Dances and sings all over the house
12. Turkey sandwiches w/ onion and cereal are his staples
13. Has the most boring name of all his friends: Boone, Tobin, Rex, Griffin, T.J., Kade, Nolan, and Titan
14. Asks me to stop saying "dishes" in a sing-song voice. (I will when he stops needing reminders😉)
