Just look at that face on Elle—I super love it. The chalkboard in the background is one of the newer ideas I got from the Eyre's. You use it as a quote board. With a new quote every week, you can display 52 great quotes a year (did I sound like an infomercial?) I want to focus on teaching kids about work and service this year. It's a sneaky way to teach without preaching. Love sneaking. They think they're just climbing the stairs, but before they know it, the board sucks them in and they're reading and pondering as they climb the stairs, one by one. (It could happen :) A week gives you time to notice and think about the quote. Maybe even memorize it. Then, something new so the board doesn't become invisible and get ignored. I'm thinking I'll have to come up with some rewards for memorization. (Do you think Rob and I doing the wave would do the trick?)
A different kind of quote, "This is what girls who are old wear when they want to look cute and a little sad."—Cam Evans hahahahahaha Is he the cutest?

Cam is so hilarious!! As are all your kids...
That's such an awesome idea! One of my Resolutions is to teach the kids about responsibility and service - what a great way to do that w/o nagging them to death! Thanks for the idea - I'll have to go buy a chalk board today...
I agree, Cam is hilarious!!
You win mom of the year with all your cleaver ideas, the chalkboard is just another of the many cleaver tools you use to teach your kids. When I grow up I want to be you, is that okay? :)
