Easter, 2014

(I've spent the last six weeks trying to catch up on life. Not happening :)

So, here's our April chalkboard:

Cam helped me make Resurrection Rolls found on Pinterest

Cy's giving me the evil eye because he has to put his
church shirt back on for pictures...

...these pictures (from the waist up. A compromise :)
True or false— Cam has a wicked eyebrow arch.

The grills. Outnumbered around here.

Easter Egg hunt in Grandpa's backyard.

Cousins. "Engagement pic" haha

My attempt at keeping us focused on Christ at Easter: posting the events of each day of the week leading up to the Resurrection [Pinterest].

And this is the Easter basket we put together for Elle's grave. We all wrote love notes to her and hid them up in the eggs.

Gotta run....

May's Mia

Fox 13's Big Buddha spotlighting LP High.

The boys call Mia to a "family meeting" in the counseling office to plot and coordinate their Senior-year schedules.

 Cheer Banquet, 2014

The girls all got awards. Mia's was "Best All-Around."

Her BFF was awarded "Squad Clown." So, that's why Mia loves her guts.

Doesn't it always end up this way?

Daniel and friends' Graduation Luau

Videos of the guys' boy band dance, haha

[Hmmmm, videos are not showing up. I'll try to figure it out later.]

SUMMER!

The last week of school, Mia received an envelope with a message tucked inside. It seems that since her Junior class split into pockets of Seniors this past year, the Juniors are on a quest to "#unitethegrade."

YOU'VE BEEN CHOSEN

You've been officially invited to compete in the 2014 reuniting games this summer. You've been drafted by 2 captains out of four teams to compete. Each team has five girls and five boys. It is  weeklong events where you compete in different events each day. Each event you can earn points for your team. The team that has the most points wins. The winning team wins a prize.

Your captains names are at the bottom of this paper. Please report to them and let them know if you can be a part of this gathering.

Sincerely,

GAME KEEPER dave

May the odds be ever in your favor

Captains' names: Zac & Calvin

Mia's Junior Prom

Daniel asking...

(He was hoping Sodalicious could pipe "PROM" on her cookie, but no such luck.)

Mia answering...

Prom Day, 1:30 p.m. The agenda: volleyball, flag football "that I dominated in," kickball. Raggae music playing, fruit plates, and drinks.

4:30 p.m. Aunt Britt glams up our girl.

"Waves like mine?"
"Yes, please."

Ta Da!

Group pictures at Thanksgiving Point. Cam tagged along, so I thanked him with a bubblegum ice cream cone that was so big it almost ate him.

OUR GIRL

THE COUPLE

Transportation: "We rode a Party Bus to the Capitol and got Ice's and bags of candy for the trip."

THE GUYS

The Dance. "The guys mostly danced in a mosh pit for the loud songs and then got the girls for the slow songs and took us up to the stair landings and spun us around and dipped us—it was sooo cute!"

THE GIRLS

THE PARTY

"The bus ride home was an extra long route home with music. We got our cars and went to Caden's house for crepes about 2:00 a.m. By the time we'd eaten, our eyes were half-shut, and we just sat on the couch like zombies. Daniel's like, 'Your mom will be happy if I get you home now.'"

Oh—he knows how to get on my good side.
