April Foolery, 2014

April Fool's afternoon, Cam, Getty, and Mia each mentioned something like this—"I can't wait for our April Fool's dinner tonight..."

Oh!

Quick run to the store...

"Chicken Nuggets" (donut holes), "Mashed potatoes" (vanilla ice cream), "Peas and carrots" (sliced gummy candies), "Gravy" (caramel sauce), "Kool-aid" (lime Jell-O [tough to sip Jell-O]).
Cam looks satisfied.

Getty pulls the same trick on me every year

And every year I get soaked. Nice.

Cam was rolling on the floor laughing after playing this trick on Cy:

Getty also rigged a bucket of water at the front door and taped cellophane to the back doorframe for people to walk into. Knowing Getty, this has got to be one of his all-time favorite days.

Spring Break Backyard campout. A little tour:

Photobombing

Last minute we got an opportunity to spend the rest of the week in Las Vegas,
so I packed up the boys in the car and headed for warmer weather.

Pictionary during the road trip. Cam loving his "light mustache."

All three recovering from the splash fight

We basically did nothing all week, and the boys said it was the best vacation ever :)

Those aren't boxers, they're shorts ;)

Mia and Rob joined us a couple days later. Mia has scratches up and down her legs from following some wild boys while they went off-trail to explore the mountains. "We were so far up we saw an eagle's nest and a cave!" (uh, like for bears?...) The boys' legs and backs looked worse. Much worse. But I got them back for putting my daughter in harm's way—stinging antiseptic and sticky bandaids on hairy legs ;)

Cheesecake factory hit the spot

A little Spring Break is a beautiful thing!
