The Sound of ... Fiddler on the Roof

This particular morning Getty and the boys couldn't stop singing, "Do Re Me Fa So La Ti ... Doe, a deer a female deer..." (and so on)

Elle does amazing work for us with her pink sunsets right outside our backyard windows.

"Sunrise, sunset... sunrise, sunset
swiftly fly the years..."

Christmas Card, 2014

Evans Edition, Christmas 2014

Sometimes I awake to Rob jumping on our bed for fun, while Cam (9) worries about college and banking and taxes.

Getty (15) says, “stop ruining my childhood!” when I insist he not longboard in the dark of night… without a helmet … or climb out his window onto our treacherously steep rooftop… in the dark of night… without a helmet….

Mia (reminds me often that she’s 18) and has two ex-boyfriends that are sure they will marry her one day (and, obviously, despise each other :)

MK (20): Her idea of “barely socializing” over Christmas break is roughly equivalent to my entire high school social life (including weekly church youth activities ;)

Cy (12): "I look good. Don't you love this shirt on me? Pretty fresh. Oh, these shorts were made for me; check me out," and so on.

I get jealous of people who live with introverts.

Merry Christmas!

Another round of hide-n-seek...

"I SPY" version

Bananagrams

Sunbathing in the laundry room

Sledding down the stair slide (he's thinking like a true Evans' kid now...)

(Something tells me the boys will try this out. We should probably move that tree....)

More to come...

Grandpa's New Bride

 Don't they look so happy?

December 13, 2014. It was a beautiful temple ceremony with a simple family dinner afterward.

Maureen's side: Tom and Amy, Laura, Maureen and Rawlin

Rawlin's side: Cindy and Mark, Maureen and Rawlin, Ann, Rob and Lorenne

 Rawlin's new family

We knew Rob's mom would be there in spirit. Aunt Kathleen said that as she admired a large chandelier in the temple, she felt Marie's spirit directly in front of her saying, "You think that's pretty? You should see what's on this side!"

Sounds just like her.

I'm sure Elle was there, too. Sitting on my lap where she belongs.
