Girl Time

I wanted to take some pictures at the gym to remember the times the girls and I spent there together (because now everything is about MK leaving us...), but by the time I got my camera and headed back into the gym, the treadmills had been turned off. The gym was closing for Christmas Eve. So, here we are fake running on the powerless treadmills.
This is us taking another photo, because the other photos we took at the gym were blurry.
MK is not having it.

The three of us (M&M and me) also did our third annual Black Friday. No photos, because this was all business. We kicked it off with a 10 o' clock movie, "Breaking Dawn: Part 1" (cheeser movie). Then we hit SouthTowne mall, and it hit us right back. Never again. I stood in line at Forever 21 for an hour-and-a-half while M&M cruised the rest of the mall. Regular prices even! (but we never get to this mall, so...) But, never again. Did I say that already, cuz... At 3 a.m., we headed for Park City outlets and met with happiness! Then Kneader's french toast before the long drive home at 9 a.m. We were so tired, we could not stop laughing. I think the cashier at Kneader's was afraid I was drunk. Black Friday this year was definitely worth the sleep deprivation.

Santa's Lap and Lime Rickey's

Family Night was a trip to the grocery store for donuts, chocolate milk, and a gift bag from Santa. (Mia met us there later, and MK was on a sub-for-Santa date with 29 other couples. 29?)
Cy helped Cam write his Christmas list, so Cam let it do the talking and stayed mum.

Elle rattled off her wish list:  a Justin Bieber barbie, Zhu Zhu pets, a Zhu Zhu pet place, a big bean bag—green, a ladybug pillow pet, a unicorn pillow pet, a dragon pillow pet...
The list was long, so Santa got kinda bored...

Cy told Santa all about FIFA 12 and Kinect Sports Season 2.

And Getty told Santa, "I want a bunch of Rated M games." Dream on, Sugar.

Rob suddenly remembered our Arctic Circle lime rickey and brown toppers tradition from Riverton, so we headed to the new AC around the corner.

The kids were in full-throttle fun mode—we had to drag them out of there an hour later. Luckily, Getty's favorite 6th grade teacher and her BYU football-playing son-in-law were in the lobby to draw them out.
Mia is explaining that those signs on the slide say, "If your name is Elle, then you get a free ice cream cone."

Great. Feed the narcissism. haha

Lunch at Liz's

Second annual Lunch at Liz's Christmas House with MK's besties and their moms.

Last year the girls entertained themselves by wrestling on the floor and jumping off stairs. Since then, they've done a lot of maturing, don't you think?
Liz has a decorated tree in most rooms in her house, but she's dying to see a certain home with a rumored 86 decorated trees inside.
Traditional Crazy Sock exchange topped it off.
Liz announced she's throwing this party every year til they all have husbands and babies.
(No rush!)

MK's Decision

While Rob was on his flight to the Islands, McKenzie and I got a call from Coach Ruegner, the women's soccer coach at BYU-Hawaii. The coach told me that after watching McKenzie's film and talking to her competition and high school coaches, he wanted her to play soccer for him and, btw, he needed a commitment by Friday (it was Wednesday). Whoa.

As soon as Rob landed, we were texting fast and furiously and calling each other over and over again. MK fasted Thursday, and by Friday she had decided she was no longer interested in playing for Dixie State. !!!

When we first heard that BYU-H was interested in her a month ago, all three of us shot down the idea. We were panicked at the thought of her being that far away. But, over the last week, we've gotten strangely comfortable with it. That, and excited. Congratulations, MK! We are so happy for you!
