Family Vacation, Summer 2014

The Drive to CA

First priority once we hit our destination:
sushi fix at Maki Yaki's

Stuffed

We found this license plate holder just outside the restaurant with our Evans kids' grandma beside it :)

Main priority: The Beach

Notice where the red ball is. I am so bad at this.

Ireland's 3 years younger than bitty Mia

pretty impressed with themselves :)

MK had to work the first part of our vacation dates, so she flew in later. Mia was happy.

Back to the Beach

I "forced" (her words) Mia to wear a tankini top over her bikini but she still managed to sneak in this pic and post it to Instagram. Pffffff. "At least it's not a close up, Mom."

Did I mention this was a Briner family reunion?
Baby brother right here:

Hackings with our brothers

Love Nate and Morgan

I used to babysit these two.
And sit on Nate when he disobeyed.

Time for pizza dinner with the whole Briner fam. Mia inadvertently ordered herself a $10 bottle of sparkling water :)

Celebrity sighting: Nyjah Huston, X-Games gold medal winner in skateboarding at age 14.
(a. How do my girls know this? And
b. how is Getty not in this picture?)

On the drive home, Rob decided to play chicken with the gas tank, one of his all-time favorite games.
A game he's never lost.

There's a first time for everything.
Here we are on the side of the highway as we wait for Rob to hoof it to the next exit and bring back some gas.
"S.O.S!"

A nice family picked Rob up in their minivan and drove him round-trip to get gas. Just as they were pulling over to the shoulder behind our car to let Rob out, their minivan ran over something and steam started pouring out everywhere....

No good deed goes unpunished, eh?
