Cam's the Man

Cub Scout Blue & Gold Banquet cake walk entry. The bird nest... again.

Square dancin' at the church with the YW. I dragged Cam along.

He didn't mind :)

Cam, Griff, and Ryan are playing. Griff's upset so Ryan and Cam come in the house to get Griff a bandaid.

Cam says to Ryan: "I love how you can just go with the flow."

Ryan: "Well, it's not easy, I can tell you that much."
hahahahahaha

Field Trip to Monte L. Bean Museum
Baby deer

Giant ant lurking far right

Fathers and Sons minus the father this time. He went with one of his best friends, Kade and his dad, while Rob was in ID at a basketball tournament for Cy. They rode horseback, canoed, and played night games.

Cam's "Homeal Abode"

Curtains, of course

The shelf holds his current book, "Fablehaven: Grip of the Shadow Plague"

School Business Fair. He's the only one who showed up in a suit (his idea).

He sold Origami swans, cootie catchers, boats, paper balloons, airplanes, butterflies, and hearts for $25 each ("Mr. Pratt money") or 3 for $60. He sold lessons for $125.

He hired and trained Mia and I to make a few of his total inventory of 60. He sold all but 5, which he donated to Mr. Pratt.

When school got out, Cam asked me to take him to the origami exhibit at BYU's Museum of Art. We learned how origami principles are used in engineering spacecraft. The limited room in a spaceship requires ingenious contraction of equipment during transport and then expansion into much larger dimensions for use. And we saw incredibly intricate origami models, but no pictures were allowed, dangit.

Then we walked over to the Monte L. Bean Museum to spend some more time there (and could take pictures).

This was Cam's favorite...

Cam kept telling me as he held onto my hand and we walked through the museums looking carefully at everything, "This is so much fun, Mom. Thanks for taking me."

What I wouldn't do for our little professor....
