A Dance Performance Dedicated to Elle

Our friends Jessa and Sonny, along with their dance troop, choreographed a piece inspired by Elle's dance videos. Jessa sent me a description of and link to the performance:

I.M.E. A Celebration of Life Through Movement

The piece takes place on a busy street. Hillary (our soloist who represents Elle) comes out, turns on her ipod, and starts jammin. Passerbys notice that she is having a lot of fun, and after a certain amount of reluctance join her in various styles and you have the piece.

Hip Hop Group 1

Hip Hop Group 2: All of the choreography is based off of Elle's choreography from videos of her dancing.
Choreographed by Elle, arranged by Jessa.

Ballroom
Freshman Jazz
Sophomore Jazz

Then the freshman and sophomores come together and do jazz similiar to that of the Utah Jazz dancers, b/c of your family's love of sports.

Beginning Jazz
Contemporary
The cluster section: Random moments of dancers showing off their "tricks." The 2 tumblers are a dedication to McKenzie and Mia.

The piece ends with everyone leaving the stage, going about their business, and Hillary freezing in a pose inspired by the photo of Elle where she is wearing MK's shoes and a Utah Jazz hat (both which are too big). :)

We were able to get 2 videos of the piece... Neither are very good quality, but at least you can see it.

The piece begins at 1:53http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfpiTjacras

Once again, people are awesome!!!
