Granny and Grandpa Doug on their travels

Later, in October and November, Granny and Doug got CoVid in a bad way, which then progressed into long-haul CoVid. Doug passed out at the bank and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he was admitted and then left prematurely. Days later, after a bloody fall and stitches on his forehead, he was admitted again for several days. He was released with an oxygen tank and was tethered for an additional 5 weeks.

CoVid for Doug and my mom included brain fog and depression, along with isolation during the holidays. These conditions led to a vulnerability for predatory callers and resulted in substantial fraud and a trip to the bank for a couple of hours with my poor mom to straighten things out.
